Your support helps to inspire the next generation of innovators and leaders. The OSA Foundation offers many options for giving and directing your contributions. OSA’s national organization matches every dollar you donate---so your gift will have twice the impact!

Ways to give

Donate Online: Make a secure contribution to support the Foundation’s work. Contributions may be directed to any of the special purpose funds and award endowments.

Donate by Mail or Fax: The Foundation is happy to accept your contribution through the mail or via fax.

Giving through OSA Membership Enrollment & Renewal: OSA Members can make a gift to the Foundation when completing their membership enrollment or renewal form.

Gifts of Securities: Donating securities is a terrific way to support the Foundation. Contact our development staff for more information about this donation option.

Planned Giving-Optics Trust: Supporters are encouraged to include the Foundation in their wills and estate plans.

Employer Matching Gifts – Many employers match donations that are made by their staff. Please contact your employer's Human Resources or Community Relations Department for the appropriate form. Once you fill out the Matching Gift form, please mail it to the OSA Foundation, 2010 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036.

Giving Options

Annual Campaign: Individuals and corporate donors support the Foundation’s funded programs through contributions to the Annual Campaign. To learn more about these programs click here.

Tribute Gifts: Your contribution may be given as a tribute to a special individual who has passed away, or to celebrate special occasions such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary, retirement, or graduation; all while furthering the Foundation’s outreach programs. A Memorial or Honorary Gift can be made online or via fax or mail.

Note: Tribute Gifts may be designated to the fund of your choice. The Foundation recognizes your Gift in Memory with a card sent to the next of kin acknowledging your contribution. For Gifts in Honor, a card is sent to the individual being honored acknowledging your thoughtfulness. Donation amounts are never revealed.

Award Endowments: The OSA Foundation presents a wide range of awards, donors are encouraged to contribute to existing awards, or to propose the establishment of a new award. To learn more about the awards program, please contact our development staff

Special Programs/Restricted Gift Funds: Contributions that fall outside the Foundation’s scope or current program areas may be directed toward special programs, the use of funds may also be restricted per the contributor’s instructions. Restrictions apply, please contact our development staff for details.

Contributions to the OSA Foundation, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible as provided by law. All donors receive special recognition and acknowledgements, unless they request to be anonymous. All donations to the OSA Foundation are matched dollar-for-dollar by The Optical Society.
